What does inclusion and diversity mean to Newell Rubbermaid? Employee resource groups (ERGs), also known as affinity groups or network groups are organized networks for employees who share a common dimension of diversity to join together and build relationships across the organization. This common dimension of diversity can go beyond gender and ethnicity, for instance groups for new parents or employees anticipating retirement. These employee-initiated, grassroots groups are established with defined goals, are aligned with business objectives, serve as a positive forum for professional and personal development and are sponsored by a member of senior management.
As part of our ongoing inclusion and diversity efforts, five employee resource groups have been formed at Newell Rubbermaid:
