Unsolicited Ideas

From time to time, Newell Rubbermaid does post specific requests for technology and innovation challenges on our website under Technology Assets on the “Our Company” page. There are several requirements to responding to a technology request – for instance, your idea must be patented or patent-pending with a published patent application, and it must specifically relate to one or more of the listed areas of Technology Interests. Detailed information on how to respond to a specific request for information or innovation challenge is provided on our website. Responses will only be reviewed if they are submitted in accordance with the requirements on the specific request.

If you do send us any unsolicited ideas or suggestions, you agree that there is no confidential relationship with respect to such information and that Newell Rubbermaid has no obligation, including financial, to you in connection therewith. Furthermore, you represent that you are free to disclose such information and that no other party has any rights in the information.

The Supply Chain Management Development Program (Supply Chain MDP) is a key component in developing talented individuals into our future operations and supply chain leaders. In this program, you will work with a broad range of brands in a variety of environments, impacting our business daily while learning the ins and outs of what it's like to work at Newell Rubbermaid.

Responsibilities you may have during the program include:

Manufacturing: supervision, project management, continuous improvement, production planning and scheduling, Lean Manufacturing, safety, workers' compensation and quality

In addition to daily on-the-job training, each Supply Chain MDP class will have mid- and end-of-year training weeks at a central location. This training week is both intense and a lot of fun.

Our Program
As part of this two-year program, you will participate in four, six-month assignments. No role is the same, and there is a large degree of cross-functionality. The goal is to provide you with an overview of division functions and teams, experience through assigned projects and knowledge of overall company operations.

Every Supply Chain MDP employee will participate in a supervisory role to experience managing multiple employees in a manufacturing setting. This is a valuable opportunity to grow as a leader, and this rotation is where most employees say they learn the most.

Upon successful completion of the program, you will have the chance to interview for permanent positions based on current openings. It is our goal to help you find a position that best fits your individual strengths and interests while satisfying business needs.
