From the Paper Mate pens in your backpack and the Rubbermaid food storage containers in your kitchen to a Goody brush in your bathroom and an Irwin Vise-Grip in your tool box, Newell Rubbermaid is a part of your life almost every day.
Our U.S. Summer Internship Program is your opportunity to get an in-depth look at our company, brands and people in action and to make direct contributions in your day-to-day work. Past interns have ushered products through development and onto store shelves, conducted consumer research for the Latin American market and participated in SAP go-live for more than 1,000 employees.
A Newell Rubbermaid internship will not only provide you with valuable real-world experiences and a clear picture of who we are and how we work, but it’s also the best way for our company to get to know you!

Our Program
Our U.S. Summer Internship Program lasts approximately 10 to 13 weeks with positions in offices across the country, including Atlanta, Ga.; Huntersville, N.C. and Oakbrook, Ill. We hire for positions in various businesses and functions such as marketing, engineering, supply chain, information technology, finance and human resources.
The U.S. Summer Internship Program offers the majority of our internship experiences; however, business needs occur throughout the year, so additional part-time and full-time opportunities may be available at locations around the world.
Do You Have What it Takes?
Newell Rubbermaid interns have take-charge personalities and can work well independently or on teams. Additional keys to success include flexibility, initiative, creativity, excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn.
Intern participants must be currently enrolled full-time in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program at an accredited four-year college or university. We typically target areas of study related to our available positions to ensure successful work performance, so we seek individuals with declared majors and minimum GPAs of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or equivalent.
Newell Rubbermaid is an equal opportunity employer and drug-free organization. Minorities, females, people with disabilities and veterans are encouraged to apply. Newell Rubbermaid does not sponsor foreign citizens for H-1B visas, permanent resident status or temporary work authorization for internships.
