Unsolicited Ideas

Technology Assets on the “Our Company” page. There are several requirements
to responding to a technology request – for instance, your idea must be patented

will only be reviewed if they are submitted in accordance with the requirements
on the specific request.

Rubbermaid Commercial Products (RCP) is a manufacturer of innovative, solution-based products for commercial and institutional markets worldwide. RCP, an ISO 9001:2000 manufacturer, has pioneered technologies and system solutions in the categories of food services, sanitary maintenance, waste handling, material transport and safety products.
Founded in 1920 as the Wooster Rubber Company, a maker of toy balloons, Rubbermaid was a pioneer in the rubber housewares business with the introduction of the first rubber dustpan in 1934. In the 1950s, the company continued to celebrate many firsts, including its first plastic product – the dishpan – and a breakthrough product for the hotel industry, a safety bath mat with suction cups on the bottom. In 1957 the company changed its name to Rubbermaid, Inc. to further capitalize on the strength of its major brand. In 1967, Rubbermaid Commercial Products was established to manufacture and market products for the commercial and institutional markets.
Rubbermaid, including its Graco brand, was acquired by Newell in 1999, combining the companies to become Newell Rubbermaid.
