There are several requirements to responding to a technology request – for instance, your idea must be patented or patent-pending with a published patent application, and it must specifically relate to one or more of the listed areas of Technology Interests. Detailed information on how to respond to a specific request for information or innovation challenge is provided on our Web site. Responses will only be reviewed if they are submitted in accordance with the requirements on the specific request.

If you do send us any unsolicited ideas or suggestions, you agree that there is no confidential relationship with respect to such information and that Newell Rubbermaid has no obligation, including financial, to you in connection therewith. You expressly disclaim and waive all rights in any such information or unsolicited ideas that you submit to Newell Rubbermaid and agree that Newell Rubbermaid will be free to use it in any way without any obligation or payment to you. Latin America is a rapidly growing market for Newell Rubbermaid. Most of our global brands are marketed in the region, including Rubbermaid®, Sharpie®, Graco®, Technical Concepts™, Irwin®, Lenox®, Paper Mate®, Dymo®, Waterman®, Parker® and Goody®. We also market a number of regional Office Products brands, which are now being transitioned into our global Everyday Writing & Coloring Global Business Unit.

Newell Rubbermaid has established its main Latin America headquarters in Weston, Fla. Like other emerging markets, a strong traditional retail channel composed of "mom and pop" stores coexists with a growing presence of mass merchandisers. The company's growth strategy focuses on achieving wider product distribution and gaining market share in our key categories.

To better serve and meet the needs of our customers and consumers in Latin America, we have organized our business into sub-regions:

          • Central America and Caribbean (Caribbean Islands, Central America, Puerto Rico and U.S. Exporters)
          • Andean Pact (Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela)
